Pain and Healing Time
You’ll have some pain when your nose is pierced. You may have some blood, swelling, tenderness, or bruising at first. It may be sore, tender, and red for up to 3 weeks. Pierced nostrils heal completely in about 2 to 4 months.
Then, what to do if piercing bleeds?
Bleeding:
- Put direct pressure on the area from both sides of the ear. The best way to do this is to squeeze with your thumb and index finger. Use gauze or a clean cloth.
- Call you doctor if the bleeding does not stop after 10 minutes.
In this manner, why is my piercing bleeding? Because a hollow needle is used to puncture the skin and remove a small amount of body tissue from the piercing site, some of these vessels will be damaged during the piercing which can cause the new piercing to bleed.
