You might have heard stories about nipples staying hard once they’re pierced, but this doesn’t always happen. They may stay erect for a while, but once your body gets used to the piercings, your nipples will more than likely relax.
Correspondingly, do your nipples have to be hard when you get them pierced?
Do pierced nipples stay hard forever? “No, the nipple will not stay erect, but it will be more pronounced.” Is there anything you have to avoid after you get pierced? Keeping it clean and free of foreign bacteria is of paramount importance for the first few months.
Beside above, should I pick the crust off my piercing? After the first few days your body will excrete lymph as it begins to form the fistula inside your piercing. This lymph ‘crust‘ will likely collect on the jewelry or around the piercing. Do not pick at it. Piercings do tend to swell slightly — some more than others — during healing.
