14g jewelry is larger than 16g jewelry, but you might be able to fit it. … The size difference between the two is small, but if you go back and forth it would obviously be a stretch every time you wanted to wear the 14’s, since your ear would shrink back to a 16g while you had that jewelry in.

Depends on how well your body handles stretching. I just tried it every 2-3 weeks or so, pushed a taper through until i felt discomfort, then took it out. If it went all the way through, great, new jewellery in! If not, ease it out and try again a few weeks later.

How do you tell what gauge piercing you have?
The gauge is how thick your jewelry is. Jewelry gets thicker the smaller the number gets. For example, an 18 gauge nose stud is thicker than a 22 gauge nose stud. You will see gauge written like this: 16G, 16g, and 16 gauge.
Can you reuse piercing needles?
As a piercer, we don’t reuse needles even with the Autoclave. Please, I highly suggest you do not reuse needles. If you are concerned about sterilizing then purchase the pre sterilized needles. They should be stamped and dated.
